The Madison Mallards will host the first ever Curdfest presented by Wisconsin Cheese on August 24th from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm.  This event is FREE and open to the public.

Curdfest will feature cheese curd vendors from around the state of Wisconsin displaying the best curds Wisconsin has to offer.  Both fried and fresh curds will be available for purchase from these vendors.  The vendors will compete for Best Fresh Curd, Best Fried Curd, a Fan’s Choice Award, and the Best Overall Cheese Curd.

The Mallards will also have many kids activities including inflatables, bobblehead ring toss, the prize wheel, a balloon artist and a petting zoo on the outfield!

The Hometown Sweethearts will be providing live entertainment from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm.

A free shuttle from the Nitty Gritty (downtown) will be running from 1:00-5:00 pm.

Other entertainment will include a cheese curd eating contest, cheese curd BINGO, and a cooking demonstration from Mallards Executive Chef Tristan Straub.

The Madison Mallards are part of the 16-team Northwoods League.  The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other Summer Collegiate Baseball League in North America.  In 2013, the Northwoods League is celebrating its 20th season.
