Willmar, MN – June 20, 2014. The Madison Mallards (14-9) will have to wait to begin interleague play until tomorrow. Their game tonight against the Willmar Stingers (16-5) has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. The game tonight will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 3:05 pm. The format of the doubleheader is two seven inning games, with game two beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
The Mallards play against the Stingers tomorrow and then begin a two game series against the Alexandria Blue Anchors (4-19) in Alexandria, Minnesota before returning to the “Duck Pond” on Tuesday, June 24th to face the Wisconsin Woodchucks (15-7).
Tuesday night is Boy Scout Night and will feature a Zimbrick Honda LEGO Giveaway. There will also be a UW Health Sports Medicine Developing Healthy Off-Speed Pitching Mechanics Clinic from 9 am – 12 pm.
