Madison, WI (June 9) – Have you ever wanted to create your own dream ice cream flavor? Popcorn Ice Cream? Cheese Curd Ice Cream? Bacon Ice Cream? Now your ice cream making dreams can come true! Schoep’s Ice Cream has announced details on the Make Madison’s Ice Cream Contest at Festival Foods Shake the Lake on June 27th. To join the contest and have a shot at your dream ice cream becoming a reality sign up below by submitting ideas for the flavor and name of their dream ice cream that best reflects Madison. Ideas can be submitted until June 17th at 5:00 pm.

“We’ve been part of Madison for over eighty years”, states Al Thomsen, Schoep’s CEO “and what better way to share our love of this city than by giving people a chance to create their own ice cream capturing what they love about Madison.”

Schoep’s Ice Cream will select three ideas, create those selections and they will be available for purchase at Festival Foods Shake the Lake.  The most popular ice cream at the event will be produced and available for purchase at Festival Foods new Madison location when it opens this fall. 

“The Mallards and Schoep’s Ice Cream have had a longstanding partnership and we are excited to expand this partnership beyond the ballpark to Festival Foods Shake The Lake,” Mallards COO Conor Caloia said. “We are excited to be engaging the community in this contest to develop an ice cream that is truly reflective of Madison.”
