Madison, Wis. (August 1) – The Madison Mallards will host ‘Back to School Night’ at Warner Park on Wednesday, August 5 in partnership with the Madison Metropolitan School District. Wednesday’s festivities will commence with MMSD Board of Education President James Howard throwing out the first pitch of the game.
Fans in attendance are encouraged to bring new school supplies to donate to the Lions’ Club “Stuff the Bus” campaign, which aims to ensure that all kids in the Madison area can return to school this fall with all the supplies they need to succeed. Two collection bins will be located at the entryway of the Duck Pond.
Along with a pre-game teacher recognition ceremony, children who attend Wednesday’s contest are also invited to run the bases after the game.
