AUGUST 2NDThe Mallards (13-11, 36-24) will travel to Kenosha on Tuesday night to take on the Kingfish (6-18, 22-38). Madison has already faced Kenosha four times in 2016, sweeping the Kingfish thus far.

Donnie Scott will hand the ball to Mike Reitcheck (Penn), the left-hander who is currently tied for second in the Northwoods League in wins this summer. Reitcheck stands at 6-1 with a 4.06 ERA, set to make his 11th appearance (tenth start) of 2016. Reitcheck faced the Kingfish nine back on July 16th, allowing one run on six hits and three punch outs in five frames.

Kenosha will turn to the right-hander Sam Lund (Madison College) for the start. The Sun Prairie, Wisconsin product will be making his third appearance and second start of the summer, posting a 0-1 record and 10.50 ERA in that span. Opponents are currently hitting .414 off of Lund.

The Mallards will look to get a boost from their offense, as this scorching-Madison team is hitting a collective .358 in their last five games. They’ve scored 41 runs with seven long balls in that period.

Tuesday’s game against the Kingfish will get underway at 7:05 pm from Historic Simmons Field in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The Mallards will return to the Duck Pond on Thursday, August 4th, to take on the Kenosha Kingfish at 7:05 pm. The game will be The Shoe Box Gary “Big Dog” Breneman bobblehead giveaway.
