Madison, Wis. – The Madison Mallards have announced their full promotional schedule for the 2017 season. The schedule is complete with fireworks shows, noteworthy bobbleheads, exciting theme nights and hysterical entertainment acts.

Bobbleheads:
The Mallards are featuring seven notable bobbleheads this season plus a wobblehead. The Great Dane Leon Varjian (June 22), Pepsi Emoji Maynard (June 25), Festival Foods Duckling Maynard (July 21), Zimbrick Honda Maynard Potter (July 30), Alliant Energy iMaynard, only available for children 14 and younger who complete a STEM activity (August 1), Gorilla Movers James Madison (August 5), and the Mallards first ever Maynard wobblehead presented by Zimbrick Honda on August 9th. The entire bobblehead line up in 2017 is presented by WKOW TV.
Fireworks:
The Mallards will be hosting five post-game fireworks shows for the 2017 season. Saturday, June 10 presented by Hy-Vee, Friday, June 16th presented by LSM Chiropractic, Saturday, July 1st presented by U.S. Bank, Tuesday, July 4th presented by Pepsi. Shows on July 1 and July 4 will be after a post-game concert on the field.
Theme Nights:
The Mallards have packed the 2017 season with new and exciting theme nights. Some highlighted theme nights include; Dentistry of Madison: Dr. Jay Hazen Star Wars Night (June 10), Superhero Night featuring Madison Police vs. Fire Home Plate Heroes softball game (July 9), Game of Thrones Night with appearance by Minnesota Renaissance Festival (July 29), Harry Potter Night (July 30) and Fitness Night (August 9).
Celebrity Appearance:
WWE Hall of Famer, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will be in attendance on Friday, June 9th presented by Maple Leaf Landscaping, as a part of wrestling night. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Ricky, receive autographs and take pictures.
Entertainment Acts:
The Mallards are bringing out some new entertainment acts for the 2017 season. Mr. Intermission will be out at the Duck Pond on July 13th and SweetRight Brothers on August 12th. Returning entertainment acts include; ZOOperstars (May 30 and August 13), Juggling Josh Horton (July 9) and Rally Entertainment (July 28).
Special Events:
The Mallards will host the 5th Annual Northwoods League Major League Dreams Showcase on Tuesday, August 8th. The event will feature the Top 100 Players in the NWL in a doubleheader at 4:05 pm and 7:35 pm. The players will be selected by Major League Baseball scouts and the Northwoods League.
The Mallards open their season at home on Tuesday, May 30th at 6:35 PM against the Fond Du Lac Dock Spiders. Group tickets for the 2017 season are on sale now. Single game tickets go on sale Saturday, April 29th at 9:00 AM.
