Kutt Dominates in 5-0 Win

Madison rolls to shutout win over the Woodchucks

Madison, Wis. –  On Thursday night at Warner Park, the Madison Mallards (25-7) cruised to a 5-0 win over the Wisconsin Woodchucks (8-22) on the back of a spectacular start by Illinois righty Ryan Kutt. Meanwhile, the Mallards picked up runs in the second and fourth on a solo home run by David Vinsky and a single by Garrett Kueber.

In the seventh inning with the Mallards leading 3-0, Kutt still had plenty of gas left. The righty worked a quick 1-2-3 inning to finish his scoreless outing, finalizing his line with 7.0 innings pitched, one hit, one walk and seven strikeouts.
