Madison, Wis. – The Madison Mallards (25-7) return to Warner Park tonight to take on the Green Bay Bullfrogs (12-20) at 6:05 PM. Gates are scheduled to open at 4:30 PM and the game features Team Zoom canine entertainment and a LSM Chiropractic Car Magnet Phone Holder giveaway. The Mallards have an opportunity to clinch the South Division’s first half title with a win tonight and a Kalamazoo loss.

Probable Pitcher

Scheduled to start tonight for the Mallards is Marietta righty Dalton Wiggins. Wiggins has been spectacular this season as he holds a 0.96 ERA through five starts. Wiggins has allowed only 16 hits over 28.0 innings on the bump and has only allowed earned runs in one of his outings. Wiggins has held opposing batters to .163 batting average and has issued only five walks.

Players to Watch

Mallards outfielder Drew Campbell (Louisville) collected three hits in last night’s game and has now posted multiple hits in four of his last six games. Campbell owns a .351 batting average and has displayed impressive defense in the outfield so far this summer.

Mallards third baseman Tyler Plantier (Richmond) currently leads the NWL with eight home runs. Plantier has also collected nine doubles and knocked in 25 runs, proving to be a key run producer for the Mallards all season.
