Mallards to host Drive-In Eighth Grade Graduation

Field provides opportunity for multiple types of drive-in events at the ballpark

Madison, WIS. – The Madison Mallards, now three weeks into their Duck Pond Drive-In movie series, will be opening their field up to other Drive-In usage. From continuing education opportunities for local businesses to eighth grade graduations, the safe, easy way to gather that the ballpark provides is perfect for a variety of events.

This upcoming Monday, the Mallards will host its first drive-in graduation for the Georgia O’Keefe Middle School Eighth Grade class. This parent organized and funded event will allow students to celebrate their 8th grade graduation despite the current circumstances and gathering restrictions. “When it became clear that the normal celebration of our kids’ final year in middle school wasn’t going to be possible, we still wanted to do something special”, said Liz Amundson, the O’Keeffe 8th grade parent who led the effort. “When we found out the Mallards were doing Drive-In Movies at the Duck Pond and would help us to get this done, we were all in! The kids are excited and we’re looking forward to a memorable 8th grade graduation celebration!”

The Mallards will also be hosting drive-in educational seminars, drive-in private parties and drive-in private meetings.

Any local businesses or organizations that are interested in utilizing the ballpark to safely host their next event, seminar, or drive-in gathering, can reach out to chelsea@mallardsbaseball.com for details!
