Mallards Split Series with the Jackrabbits at Home

Mallards drop the final game of their homestand 5-3 behind despite 11 hits

 

Madison, WI – The Mallards dropped the finale of their weekend series with Kokomo at home Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Ducks move to 2-2 in their last 4 games and 2 games under .500.

 

Mallards starter Michael Finan (L, 1-2) allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts across 5 innings of work. Kokomo put two across the plate in the third and fifth innings. Declan Elias and Thomas Ellisen combined for 4 innings and only one run across the final four innings. Jackrabbits infielder Alejandro Holguin led the way going 3-5 with 2 RBI’s.

 

Madison’s offense left 11 runners on base behind 11 hits. J.J. Rollon and Josh Caron each went 3-4 with a double and a run scored. Payton Smith stayed hot at the plate with 2 RBI’s and a double.
