OUR GOAL

The goal is simple: on August 8th, we’ll be attempting to break the record for the World’s Largest Game of Euchre! Presented by Madison College, we’ll attempt to beat New York’s current record of 2,000 players. The tournament will be held at the ballpark during the game!

HOW DO I ENTER?

All fans who buy a ticket to that game will have the opportunity to register for the tournament. An email will be sent closer to the event date to get registered. Other than purchasing a ticket to the game, there is not additional registration fee.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

The tournament will be played our Pepsi Pregame Party area of the ballpark, with games being played in 4 timeslots beginning at 4:00pm. Teams will advance to the next round based on score in the allotted time. The championship round will be played ON THE FIELD during the game! The winner duo will receive a $1,000 cash prize!

TOURNAMENT RULES

– There will be four tronches (groups of players) of qualifying rounds, with 250 teams in each tronch.
– Teams will play one game to 10 using provided scoresheets to keep track of score.
– There will be a time limit of 25 minutes to finish the game.
– All scoresheets should be turned in to the scorer’s table.
– Qualifiers for the final round, which will be played in the outfield during the game, will be determined by point differential, with the top 100 teams proceeding to the final. In the event of a tie for point differential, a lottery system will be used to determine the finalists selected from the lowest group of point differentials.
– Any cards exposed during the deal will result in a misdeal and the dealer must deal again
– If a player lays the wrong suit (reneges), the other team gets 2 points.
– Players must finish playing all of their cards to prevent unfair advantages.
– A card laid is a card played.
– All players are required to treat fellow participants, staff, and volunteers with respect and courtesy at all times.

OTHER DETAILS

The Mallards will be rebranding as the Right Bowers during the game, complete with uniforms (pictured above) that feature playing cards on the back instead of a uniform number for the first time in the history of baseball!
