ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Honkers flexed their muscles Firday night.

Joe Munich hit two of the Honkers’ four home runs during their 7-3 victory over the Madison Mallards in a Northwoods League amateur baseball game at Mayo Field.

Munich drove in three runs for Rochester (2-2), which also got homers from J.P. Moran and Chase Odenreider.

Kyle Yates allowed six runs on seven hits in 5 innings to take the loss for the Mallards, who fell to 2-2.

Jake Toohey, who gave up one earned run in seven innings, earned the victory for the Honkers.

Francois Larmore was 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead Madison. Mike Rozema was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and one driven in for the Mallards, who play at Thunder Bay tonight.
