The Richmond Flying Mummies continue adding talent to the pitching staff with the latest unwrapping of Nick Julian and Will McDonald, two arms bringing experience and versatility to the mound this summer.

Nick Julian

Right-hander Nick Julian joins the Mummies from Central Christian College. The junior from Trophy Club, Texas has been a dependable starter throughout his collegiate career, making 27 starts across two seasons while totaling 189 strikeouts in over 153 innings pitched. Julian’s ability to miss bats and compete deep into games makes him a valuable addition to the rotation.

Off the field, Julian is majoring in Exercise Science with goals of becoming a physical therapist. His favorite athlete is DJ LeMahieu, and he lives by Proverbs 3:5-6.

Will McDonald

Left-hander Will McDonald arrives from Tallahassee State College, adding another strong option from the left side. McDonald made 11 appearances with 8 starts this season, recording 27 strikeouts in 34.1 innings pitched. In addition to his work on the mound, he also contributed offensively, hitting .287 with 7 doubles and 2 home runs.

His ability to impact the game both as a pitcher and at the plate adds versatility and depth to the roster heading into the summer.
