Richmond, Ind. – Richmond Baseball, the newest addition to the Northwoods League, is excited to announce Trevor Amerson as its first General Manager. Amerson, a seasoned professional with a passion for summer collegiate baseball, will lead the team’s efforts to create an unforgettable fan experience and build strong community ties as it prepares for its debut season in 2026 at Don McBride Stadium.
Amerson enters his fifth season in the Northwoods League, bringing four years of experience with the Green Bay Rockers, where he excelled in ticket sales and community engagement roles. His efforts fostered deep connections with fans and local organizations, making him the ideal leader to establish Richmond Baseball as a beloved part of the Richmond community.
A native of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, Amerson graduated from Minnesota State University with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Marketing. His expertise in creating vibrant fan experiences and building partnerships will shape the team’s identity.
“I am very excited to become the General Manager of Richmond’s first-ever Northwoods League baseball team,” said Amerson. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, and I cannot wait to bring summer collegiate baseball back to Richmond and Don McBride Stadium. I am eager to integrate myself into the Richmond community, in hopes that Northwoods League baseball will be a staple in Richmond for summers to come.”
As General Manager, Amerson will focus on creating a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere at Don McBride Stadium, forging partnerships with local businesses and organizations, and delivering memorable fan experiences. His leadership will help make Richmond Baseball a cornerstone of summer entertainment in the community.

Richmond Baseball will compete in the Northwoods League, a premier summer collegiate baseball league, with its inaugural season set for May 2026. Additional details on team branding, ticket sales, and community initiatives will be announced in the coming months.

Now in its 32nd season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in history with 24 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
