Every team has a mascot.
Not every team has Wilbur.
Before the ballpark, Wilbur was just a rooster with a dream. He wanted to fly. Not the short flaps most chickens settle for, but real flying. The kind that makes people stop and wonder how it is even possible.
The problem was simple. He could not do it.
That never stopped him.
Wilbur tried everything. Jumping off fences, climbing anything he could find, chasing anything that looked like a chance to get in the air. Nothing worked, but he refused to quit.
Then one night, everything changed.
He discovered the Richmond Flying Mummies.
Flying Mummies.
He did not question it. He did not need to. If they could fly, then maybe he could too.
Wilbur became obsessed. He followed them, studied them, and made a decision. If he could not become a Flying Mummy, he would become one anyway.
He started wrapping himself up, doing everything he could to look the part, and showing up with more energy than anyone else. Somewhere along the way, he became more than just a fan. He became the number one fan.
Now Wilbur is everywhere. Dancing, cheering, and bringing energy every single game. He might not have figured out how to fly yet, but he does not care. He is part of this team, and he is all in.
And if you see him at the ballpark, just know one thing.
He is always #WrappedInFUN.
