The Richmond Flying Mummies continue loading up the pitching staff with the addition of two experienced arms from Bushnell University — left-hander Kai Keamo and right-hander Tyler Biddinger.
Keamo arrives in Richmond as one of the most accomplished pitchers in Bushnell program history. The Waianae, Hawaii native closed out his collegiate career as the Beacons’ all-time strikeout leader with 159 career strikeouts. In 2025, the senior made 13 appearances with nine starts, posting a 3.74 ERA while striking out 46 batters in 43.1 innings. His season was highlighted by a program-record 10 strikeouts against Warner Pacific, earning CCC Pitcher of the Week honors.
Over four seasons, Keamo proved himself as more than just a pitcher. He also contributed as an outfielder and pinch runner, bringing versatility and athleticism every time he stepped onto the field. Whether it was starting games or coming out of the bullpen, Keamo consistently found ways to compete and make an impact.
Off the field, Keamo enjoys fishing, playing the ukulele, and spending time around the game. The business major keeps it simple with favorites that include Frosted Flakes, Reese’s, the Boston Red Sox, and the San Francisco 49ers.
Joining him from Bushnell is fellow senior pitcher Tyler Biddinger, a hard-working right-hander from Newport, Oregon. During his first season with the Beacons in 2025, Biddinger made 13 appearances, recording 16 strikeouts and two saves over 23 innings while posting a 4.30 ERA.
Before arriving at Bushnell, Biddinger spent time at both Colorado Northwestern CC and Chemeketa CC, continuing to develop his game and gain valuable collegiate experience. A multi-sport athlete growing up, he also played basketball and football at Newport High School.
Biddinger brings personality and grit to the Mummies clubhouse. When he’s not on the mound, he enjoys duck hunting, manual labor work, and playing music — including learning guitar after previously playing trumpet. His favorites include the San Francisco Giants, Tim Lincecum, Reese’s, Dr. Pepper, and the movie Rookie of the Year.
With Keamo’s record-setting strikeout ability and Biddinger’s versatility and experience, the Flying Mummies are adding two competitive arms ready to make an impact this summer.
The Mummies continue to unwrap talent as the roster for this summer keeps getting stronger.
