CATS FALL TO ST.CLOUD

The Border Cats fell to the St. Cloud Rox in the second series of their first road trip Saturday night losing 2-0. St. Cloud native Reese Gregory (St. Cloud) pitched eight innings striking out 11 Cats and allowing only two hits.

In a quickly played game Greg Weissert (Fordham) took the loss (0-1) despite having had a strong night giving up only three hits and one run in five innings. Both Joe Gellenbeck (Xavier) and Kyle Comer (Minnesota-Duluth) were the only Cats to get hits during the game yet unfortunately came up short. Both Mitch Kuebbing (Longwood) and Nate Steger (Winston Salem State) kept the game close with four and two strikeouts respectively.

The Border Cats look to split the series Sunday afternoon at 2:05pm EST / 1:05pm CST.
