Despite another well pitched game the Cats came up short losing 2-1 to the St. Cloud Rox in game two of the series. Cats starting pitcher Yuji Suzuki (Concordia- St. Paul) had a solid start, allowing two runs on seven hits over seven innings. Kyle Comer (Minnesota-Duluth) drew a bases loaded walk in the top of the ninth inning to make it a 2-1 game, but the Cats failed to get the tying run home.
Thunder Bay's Cater McEachern (Trinity Univeristy) and Nate Nolan (St. Mary's- California) both collected two hits in the loss.
Thunder Bay's record drops to 2-3, and the Cats continue their road trip Monday in Duluth against the Huskies at 8:35pm EST / 7:35pm CST.
