CATS SPLIT SERIES WITH HUSKIES

The Thunder Bay Border Cats finished off their first road trip of the year with a bang winning 14-4 over the Duluth Huskies Tuesday afternoon.

Thunder Bay cycled through the line up in the top of the seventh inning where the picked up seven runs on six hits. Five Border Cats picked up multiple runs during the “Education Day” game with Joe Gellenbeck (Xavier University) leading the way with two runs on three hits and two RBI’s.

Jeremy Charles (University of Hartford) picked up the win for the cats allowing only two runs on seven hits and four strikeouts over the first six innings with Mitch Kuebbing (Longwood University) closing out the game with a no hitter inning.

The Border Cats return home where they are undefeated Wednesday to take on the Eau Claire Express at 7:05pm EST.
