BLUE ANCHORS DOUBLE CATS FOR SWEEP 

The Alexandria Blue Anchors beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats 10-5 to complete the sweep in the last day of the home-stand Saturday night at TbayTel Park.

Starting pitcher Yuji Suzuki (Concordia University) went first 5 innings allowing five runs on seven hits while striking out five. Anthony Morris (St. Thomas Aquinas) came in to pitch the last 3.1 innings allowing only one hit.

It was Jared James’ (Long Beach State) RBI that brought in Mike Palladino (Quinnipiac) to put the Cats on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Palladino went on to hit an RBI double in the ninth inning closing the gap for Thunder Bay. Palladino notched a total of three RBI’s and one run on two hits, while Nate Nolan (St. Mary’s College) also notched two runs on two hits and one RBI adding his third home run of the season.

The Cats start on a four game road trip Sunday in Alexandria at 6:05pm EST / 5:05pm CST.
