CATS SPLIT WITH HONKERS

The Cats fell 6-3 in game two of the series Friday night against the Rochester Honkers at TbayTel Park. The Cats record falls to 13-17 with four games left in the first half of the season.

Starting pitcher Zach Thiac (Nicholls State) took his fourth loss of the season pitching the first 5.1 innings allowing four runs on four hits while striking out four. Anthony Morris (St. Thomas Aquinas) closed out the last 3.2 innings allowing two runs on four hits while striking out two.

Joe Gellenbeck (Xavier University) notched one run on one hit with one RBI, while Nate Nolan (St. Marys College) and Tyler Coolbaugh (University of Oklahoma) also put up runs for Thunder Bay.

The Cats begin another two game series against the Waterloo Bucks at TbayTel Park at 7:05pm EST Saturday night.
