BORDER CATS DROP A DOUBLE HEADER

Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats finished the remaining six innings of the 2016 home opener at the annual School Day Game this morning at 11:05am. The Cats lost 15-6 in the first game of the season. Thunder Bay native Cooper Lamke (Ridgewater) picked up two runs on two hits in his first appearance as a Border Cat. Outfielder Rob Andreoli (LIU Post) put up three hits during the rescheduled home opener against the Mankato Moondogs.

The Border Cats were blanked during their second game against the Moondogs Wednesday afternoon. Ryan Sutterer (University of Northwestern) pitched a scoreless sixth for the Cats, but it wasn't enough to rally past Mankato’s 3-0 lead.

Thunder Bay returns home tomorrow against the Duluth Huskies at 7:05pm at Port Arthur Stadium.
