CATS LOSE A CLOSE ONE

Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats fell 3-2 to the Lacrosse Loggers Wednesday night at TbayTel Park.

Starter Jordan Thompson (Ridgewater) started a strong six innings for the Cats allowing only two runs while Joey Burris (Southeast Missouri) came in for the following three innings striking out three. Three Border Cats put up doubles in the fourth inning including Shane Shepard (North Carolina), Andrew Fregia (Sam Houston) and Mitch Bigras (Boston College).

The Border Cats begin a new series against the Eau Claire Express at TbayTel Field Thursday night at 7:05pm.
