CATS SPLIT DOUBLE HEADER IN DULUTH

Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Border Cats spilt their last series of their road trip against the Duluth Huskies.

In game one the Border Cats won over the Duluth Huskies 11-6 Wednesday afternoon. Ben Hoffman (Monmouth) picked up his first win of the season going 4.2 innings allowing only one run on four hits while striking out five. Andrew Fregia (Sam Houston) picked up his fourth home run of the season while Anthony Brocato (St. John’s) notched two runs on four hits and two RBI.

The Border Cats were blanked in game two of the double header 2-0. Starting pitcher Brandon Langan (New Mexico) impressed Thunder Bay going 6.1 innings allowing only two runs on six hits while Tom Mullin (Penn State) closed out the last 1.2 innings without allowing any hits.

The Cats return home to face the Willmar Stingers in a four game homestand Thursday at 7:35pm EST.
