CATS HOLD LEAD

Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Border Cats held on to their lead for the majority of the game Thursday night at TbayTel Park in order to win the game 15-14.

Thunder Bay erupted in the second inning scoring eight of their 15 runs. Anthony Brocato (St. John’s) hit his first home run at home for a total of two runs on three hits and four RBI, while Mitch Bigras (Boston College) notched three runs on three hits. Jordan Gillerman (St. John’s) also helped out the Cats with one run on two hits and three RBI.

Vinny Santarsiero (Fontbonne) picked up his second save of the season allowing no hits in the last 1.1 innings.

The Cats take on the Willmar Stingers in their annual Canada Day Jersey Auction game at 1:35pm EST at TbayTel Park.
