CATS SHUT OUT WILLMAR

Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Border Cats picked up another win at TbayTel Park Saturday night against the Willmar Stingers.

After scoring two runs in the first inning Thunder Bay managed to hold the lead and not allow any runs to win the game 2-0.  Starting pitcher Cameron Churchill (Nova Southeaster) notched his second win of the season going 5.2 scoreless innings allowing only three hits while striking out seven. Vinny Santarsiero also managed to pick up his third save of the season going 1.1 innings not allowing any hits.

Andy Weber (Virginia) and Bobby Honeyman (Stony Brook) were the two to put the Cats on the board while Joe Gellenbeck (Xavier) was the one to bring them in adding two RBI to his stats.

The Border Cats close out their homestand against Willmar Sunday  at 5:05pm at TbayTel Park.
