The Cats Lose a Nail-Biter to the Eau Claire Express

Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats lost a close one to the Eau Claire Express Wednesday night, with a final score of 2-1.

Joey Burris (Southeast Missouri) threw six innings of scoreless baseball for the Cats while racking up seven strikeouts.


Shane Shepard (North Carolina) drove in the Border Cat’s lone run in the sixth inning with sacrifice fly, scoring Bobby Fulkerson (South New Hampshire).

The Cats start a two game series on the road against the Willmar Stingers Thursday at 6:05pm CST / 7:05pm EST.
