BORDER CATS WALK OFF

Thunder Bay, Ont. – Mitch Bigras (Boston College) gave the Border Cats their first walk off win of the 2016 for a final score 7-6.

Thunder Bay managed to rally in the ninth with Shane Shepard (North Carolina) picking up his fifth home run as a Border Cat and Mitch Bigras (Boston College) picked up his second triple of the season bringing home Joe Gellenbeck (Xavier).

Vinny Santarsiero (Fontbonne) picked up his first win of the season closing out the last 1.1 innings allowing only three hits while striking out two. Angelo Spedafino (SUNY Albany) also had a solid outing going 2.2 innings allowing only three runs on four hits while striking out six.

The Cats finish their series against the Rochester Honkers at 7:05pm EST at TbayTel Park Friday night.
