BORDER CATS SPLIT IN EXTRA INNINGS
Thunder Bay, Ont. – The Border Cats split with the St. Cloud Rox in a make up double-header Thursday night at Tbay Tel Park.
The Border Cats fell 6-3 in game one to the Rox with Joey Burris (Southeast Missouri) taking the loss for the Cats. Burris went for 5.1 of the seven innings allowing five runs on six hits while only walking two batters. Jordan Gillerman (St. John’s) had a productive outing putting up two runs on two hits.
It took the Border Cats 11 innings to earn a 3-2 over the St. Cloud Rox. Bobby Fulkerson (South New Hampshire) earned his first win as a pitcher closing out the last three hitless innings striking out four batters. Jordan Gillerman (St. John’s) was the one to end the 11 inning game brining home Mitch Bigras (Boston College) who notched a total of two runs on four hits throughout the second game.
The Border Cats finish their series against the St. Cloud Rox Friday night at 7:05pm at Tbay Tel Park.
