THUNDER BAY WALKS OFF ST. CLOUD
Thunder Bay, Ont. – Anthony Brocato (St. John’s) was the one to hit an RBI single to bring home Bobby Honeyman (Stony Brook) to give the Border Cats the 7-6 win over the St. Cloud Rox.
Starting pitcher Angelo Spedafino (SUNY Albany) went 5.2 innings allowing only four runs while Dan McBryan (Iona) came in for 2.1 hitless innings of relief and striking out four. However it was Cameron Churchill (Nova Southwastern) picked up his third win closing out the last inning.
Bobby Honeyman, Jordan Gillerman (St. John’s) and Shane Shepard (North Carolina State) all notched two runs on two hits each with Shepard added two RBIs.
The Border Cats start their last home series of the year against the Rochester Honkers at 7:35pm EST at Tbaytel Park.
