CATS SWEPT BY ROX

The Thunder Bay Border Cats fell 4-3 to the St. Cloud Rox in the first extra-innings game of the year for the Cats. The game featured many scoreless innings with all the runs coming in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. It was all zero’s until the Rox scored the winning run in the 12th inning.

Offensively Colin Rosenbaum continues his great season adding two RBI’s for a total of seven on the year. Along with Rosenbaum, the Cats managed eight hits but were without a few timely hits to take the lead. The Cats had a runner in scoring position in the 11th and 12th but were unable to capitalize.

The pitchers were solid for the Cats once again tonight as starting pitcher Blaze Bohall was untouchable until a three-run inning in the sixth. Evan Johnson, Brady Hill, and Cody OBrien all pitched well and combined for 11 strikeouts.

Tuesday marked the final game in Brainerd, MN as the Cats now head to Duluth, MN to take on the Huskies in what should be more of a home atmosphere being closer to Thunder Bay. The Border Cats would like to thank everyone involved in Brainerd for being excellent hosts and helping out in the Cats unfortunate field situation.
