BORDER CATS BLOW TWO LEADS AND LOSE IN WALK OFF TO LOGGERS
Sunday was another exciting game that saw the Thunder Bay Border Cats lead for the majority of it. The Cats held a 7-2 lead into the seventh inning but lost the lead thanks to a five run inning from the Loggers. The Cats would take back the lead in the ninth inning with a Braden Mosley RBI single and looked poised to win the game. In the bottom half the Loggers got a two-out walk and a few pitches later they walked it off with a two-run home run.
Sunday night was filled with home runs as Noah Strohl and Colin Rosenbaum contributed home runs for the Cats; however, the Loggers doubled up and hit four home runs. Strohl continues to perform very well for the Cats as he now has nine RBI’s in only four games.
The Cats starting pitcher Michael Bohlke pitched a terrific game going six innings and allowing only two runs. At one point he retired ten Loggers in a row as they could not get anything going off of him.
The Cats record now stands at 5-8. They look to bounce back tomorrow as they take on the same Loggers. Sunday also marks six days until the Home Opener at Port Arthur Stadium. Make sure to visit the box office or call 766-2287 to reserve your seat, you won’t want to miss it.
