BORDER CATS BOUNCE BACK WITH HUGE WIN

The Thunder Bay Border Cats continued their scoring surge Monday night in Lacrosse, WI as they scored 12 runs on 17 hits. The Cats exploded with a four run first inning helped by Noah Strohl’s three run home run. The Cats added three more runs in the fourth inning with Kevin Biondic’s first two RBI’s and a JQ Folena RBI single. The Cats blew the game open by scoring five runs in the final three innings and win the game 12-3.

Noah Strohl continues to dominate the Northwoods league as he now has two home runs and 12 RBI’s in only five games. Strohl’s teammates were also all over the Loggers as nearly all the starters contributed hits. There were multiple Border Cats with one or more RBI’s which helped create the 12-3 lead. The Cats have now scored 27 runs in their last three games and look poised to continue that trend.

The Cats now return to Duluth, MN to take on a struggling Huskies squad in a doubleheader on Tuesday. The Huskies have lost five games in a row so the Cats will look to take advantage and grab a couple victories. The Border Cats will be the home team tomorrow in Duluth as it’s another ‘home game’ away from home. The Cats return to Port Arthur Stadium on Saturday for the home opener. Make sure to reserve your seats and welcome back our Border Cats from their LONG road trip.
