Border Cats Fall in Classic Pitcher’s Duel
After leaving very early in the morning the Thunder Bay Border Cats arrived in Waterloo coming off their first home win and looking to start a new winning streak. Unfortunately, the Cats faced off against Kyle Leahy who now owns a 0.36 ERA in 25 innings pitched. Leahy was dominant again as he threw a complete game shutout in the 3-0 win over the Border Cats.
Although Leahy pitched well so did the Border Cats. Kade Kryzsko made his Border Cats debut and pitched very well. Despite pitching five innings he allowed only two runs and four hits but he picked up the loss. Once Kryzsko was pulled from the game Ben Gilliland came in and pitched well in his three innings allowing only one run. Unfortunately, Kade and Ben could not get the run support but both pitched very well.
The Cats now look to bounce back tomorrow as they take on the same Bucks team. The Bucks have now won nine games in a row but the Cats will look to stop it there. Make sure to follow along on Twitter for up to the minute updates during the game.
