Border Cats fall to Bucks
The Thunder Bay Border Cats fell 6-1 to the Waterloo Bucks Sunday afternoon at Port Arthur Stadium. It was a cold and rainy day in Thunder Bay as it rained on and off throughout the game. Although it was not the best weather the fans stood behind the Cats as they played the first game of the series versus the Bucks.
The Cats only managed four hits while the Bucks tripled that with 12 hits. Alex Sanchez contributed the only RBI for the Cats as he drove in Colton Thomas from third base. Braden Mosley, Colton Thomas Kevin Biondic and Brendan Dougherty contributed the hits for the Cats. Kade Kryzsko was the player of the game for the Border Cats as he pitched a solid game. He went six innings allowing only three runs while striking out three.
The next game is tomorrow at 7:05 PM against the same North Division leading Bucks squad. It is the final game of the home stand before the Cats return home for the Canada Day game.
