BORDER CATS VICTORIOUS VERSUS BUCKS

The Thunder Bay Border Cats bounced back from last night’s loss and got a series split with the Waterloo Bucks. The Cats pulled off a 6-4 victory as Aaron George picked up his first win as a Border Cat. George pitched a great game allowing only two runs and striking out eight in just over six innings pitched.

On the offensive side, the Cats were all over the Bucks as they got 15 hits compared to the Buck’s six. Colin Rosenbaum was the Twitter voted player of the game for the Cats as he went 4-5 with one RBI and one run. Colton Thomas also had a big night with three of the six RBI’s for the Cats. He drove in the runs with a bases-loaded single in the eighth inning and then another RBI single in the fifth inning.

The win now moves the Cats to 10-18 on the season as they go back on the road to Rochester, MN. The Cats will then visit St. Cloud to take on the Rox before returning home on Canada Day. Make sure to follow the Cats on the road through our Twitter for up to the minute updates.
