BORDER CATS LATE SURGE NOT ENOUGH AS BISMARCK DEFEATS THUNDER BAY
The Thunder Bay Border Cats mounted a late rally but fell short as Bismarck takes game 3 of the 4-game set 7-4. Thunder Bay scored 3 in the 9th and had the tying run at the plate but Jean-Francois Garon struck out on what was deemed a voluntary strikeout by the 1st base umpire. Bismarck opened the scoring with 3 in the 5th. They added 3 more in the 7th and a run in the 8th to lead 7-0. Former Border Cat Luke Horanski had a 2 run homer for Bismarck. Horanski and Connor Perry each had 2 RBI in the game for the Larks. Colin Rosenbaum led the Border Cats driving in a pair of runs and adding 2 hits. Braden Mosley and Garon had the other Border Cat RBI's. The finale of this 4-game set goes Sunday afternoon at 1:35. It is Toy Sense Christmas in July, the 1st 150 kids will receive a toy dog.
