Border Cats Swept in Eau Claire
After being delayed due to weather to begin the game the Thunder Bay Border Cats (25-39) fell to the Eau Claire Express (35-31) 5-3. The Express got on the scoreboard first as they scored a couple in the second inning. The lead would not last long as Dayne Sommer hit a three run home run in the third inning to give the Cats the lead. The lead once again would not last long as the Express scored on a ground out in the fourth inning to tie the game. The game was tied at three all the way until the eighth inning when the Express scored two runs in bases loaded situations.
