BORDER CATS TAKE RAIN SHORTENED GAME VS HONKERS

On a wet and soggy night in Thunder Bay, the Border Cats shutout the Rochester Honkers 3-0 in 6 innings. Rogelio Reyes hurled a beauty for Thunder Bay going all 6 innings giving up just 4 hits while striking out 8. The Cats put 2 on the board in the 2nd inning on back to back RBI singles by Calen Schwabe and Billy Cook. Thunder Bay added some insurance in the 5th on a Dylan Caplinger sac fly. The game was then called after 6 innings when the rain started to come down pretty hard. The two teams wrap up their 2 game series Sunday with a matinee 1:35 pm start at the stadium. It is Jr Cats Sunday all kids 12-under are free!!! The weather is supposed to be awesome with mainly sunny skies and a high of 28 degrees Celsius!!!!! See you tomorrow! The box office opens at 11 AM.
