Border Cats Shot Down by Bucks

In an early matinee game, the Border Cats were thumped by the Waterloo Bucks 16-1. The Bucks outhit the Border Cats 21-3 and scored 11 unanswered runs before the Cats got on the board in the eighth inning. Myles Emmerson led the way for the Bucks as he went 6-6 with four RBI and three runs scored. The Bucks starting pitcher Ryan Lane dominated the Cats as he pitched seven innings of scoreless baseball while striking out eight Border Cats.

The lone run for the Border Cats came off of a bases-loaded walk from Gunner Hellstrom. The Cats went through four pitchers in the ballgame with Drew Demler picking up the loss.
