Border Cats Drop Final Road Game of Season

In the final road game of the season, the Thunder Bay Border Cats lost 9-7 to the St. Cloud Rox. It was an exciting back and forth game which saw the Rox get an early 3-0 lead. The Rox scored three runs in the second inning led by a Ryan Davis RBI single. The Cats scored one run in the third inning and then four in the sixth to take a 5-3 lead. However, the Rox bounced right back in the bottom half of the inning scoring six runs. The Cats cut the lead to only two in the eighth inning but were not able to tie the game.

On the mound, Rogelio Reyes started the game and kept the Cats in it. He pitched five innings allowing only three runs with two of them being earned. He was helped offensively from Calen Schwabe, Willie Bourbon, Gunner Hellstrom and Tavien Gillette who all had two hits. Hellstrom added two RBI and Schwabe, Bourbon, and Gillette each added one. The other RBI came off of the bat of Ben McConnell.
