Border Cats Drop Season Finale
In the final game of the 2018 season, the Thunder Bay Border Cats lost 7-1 to the Willmar Stingers. The story of the game came in the 3rd inning when the Stingers put up six runs off of the Cats starter Keenan Eaton. The Cats never really had a chance to get back into the ballgame after that inning. After Eaton’s exit, the Cats had six pitchers each pitch one inning. Wryland McKnight was the lone reliever to allow a run as everyone else pitched scoreless innings. Offensively, the lone run of the game for the Border Cats came off of the bat of Tavien Gillette. Clayton Bodine and Rogelio Reyes contributed two hits each to combine for four of the six Border Cats hits.
The loss means the Cats second-half record finished at 9-27 and 22-50 for the entire season. The Border Cats thank all of our fans for your support throughout the season!
