BORDER CATS OFFER FREE GAME FOR HAMMARSKJOLD HIGH SCHOOL
Thunder Bay, ON. – The Thunder Bay Border Cats are proud to announce that all students and staff from Hammarskjold High School will be offered free admission to the team’s home game on Saturday, June 29, against the Waterloo Bucks starting at 6:05 pm at Port Arthur Stadium.
All students and staff that present their 2018-19 Hammarskjold identification cards at the stadium box office on the day of the game will receive a free ticket to the Northwoods League game. Gates open at 5:00 pm.
Border Cats Chief Executive Office Tony DiPaolo says it’s the organizations way of supporting the students, faculty and staff at the school and to celebrate the beginning of the summer holidays. “It was a very frustrating and trying school year at Hammarskjold and the Border Cats are all about supporting the community with our “All Local – All In” theme for the 2019 season,” stated DiPaolo. “We hope our free baseball game will allow all Vikings to enjoy a night out on the Canada Day long weekend and cheer on the Cats.”
The Border Cats Canada Day long weekend celebration includes a post-game fireworks show on Sunday, June 30, at 7:35 pm against Waterloo and the annual Canada Day game on July 1 at 1:35 pm versus the Bucks that will also feature a special jersey auction in support of Special Olympics.
