Pitcher Joe Moran of the Thunder Bay Border Cats has been to named to the Northwoods League All-Star Game and will play on the Great Plains Division team.  The 2019 NWL All-Star Game takes place Tuesday, July 16th, in Waterloo, Iowa.  Moran, a 21-year old righthander, from Anderson, Ind, has started five games for the Border Cats this season and is a perfect 3-0 with a stellar 1.40 earned run average. The sophomore, who plays his collegiate ball in his hometown at Anderson University, has recorded 22 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings of work.  Moran is the scheduled starting pitcher tonight for the Border Cats when they open a four-game road trip in Lacrosse against the Loggers at 8:05 pm ET.
