Former Thunder Bay Border Cats pitcher Seth Frankoff will make his first major league start on Saturday night for Arizona when the Diamondbacks host the Washington Nationals at Chase Field in Phoenix.  The 32-year old righthander made his big league debut in 2017 at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs and also appeared in two games last season with the Seattle Mariners.  Frankoff, who was a member of the Border Cats 2008 NWL Championship team, was selected in the 27th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics.  The UNC-Wilmington product has also pitched professionally in the Korean League for the Doosan Bears. He signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks on January 8th.
