The Thunder Bay Border Cats climbed back to the .500 mark on Sunday in St. Cloud with a 7-4 victory to complete a two-game weekend sweep of the Rox.  The Cats (6-6), scored four times in the second inning , pushed across one run in the seventh and then tacked on two more insurance runs in the top of the ninth.  Eight of the nine batters in the Thunder Bay lineup recorded a hit with Trey Lewis (South Alabama) and Logan Johnstone (Gonzaga University) both driving in a pair of runs.
Caleb Bunch (Ranger College) had a dominating outing on the mound for the Cats as he improved his record to 2-0 with a 1.50 earned run average.  The righthander from Keller, TX, fired eight innings of three-hit ball, allowing two runs (one earned), with one walk and seven strikeouts.
The Cats will face the Rox again on Monday night, but this time at Port Arthur Stadium at 6:35pm, as the teams kick off a two-game game set, which concludes on Tuesday morning with a special start time of 11:05am.  Righthander Sam Peterson (Texas State University) will make his season debut on the mound in the opener on Monday and the first 250 fans thru the gates receive a 2023 Magnetic Schedule courtesy of Taco Time.
