The Thunder Bay Border Cats will continue their homestand with a Tuesday doubleheader against the La Crosse Loggers.

The first game is the Border Cats’ second School Day game of the season, set to get underway at 11:05 a.m. at Port Arthur Stadium. A nightcap will follow with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch. Both games will be nine innings in length.

Thunder Bay’s Matt Sargeant (North Dakota State University) is the expected starting pitcher for the first game, with Ethan Froud (Pittsburg State University) in line to take to the mound for the second game.

The Loggers kicked off the four-game series with a 25-13 victory on Monday, with the two teams setting a Northwoods League record for combined runs in a single game.

Greg LaChance (University of Illinois) was the Cwench Border Cats player of the game, going 2-for-4 with a two-run opposite field homer that extended his hitting streak to eight games. Cwench is the official hydration partner of the Border Cats.
