The Thunder Bay Border Cats completed a two-game sweep of the Mankato MoonDogs with a convincing victory.

A six-run fourth inning propelled the Border Cats picked to a 13-6 win over the visitors from Mankato at Port Arthur Stadium on Saturday.

Greg LaChance (University of Illinois) initiated the home scoring with a first inning home run for his second of the season.

Lucas Johnson (Eastern Michigan University) went 2-for-4 at the plate with 3 RBI. Manny Alberto (Georgia Gwinnett College) also added 3 RBI, while Jeremy Sheffield (Georgetown University) drove in a pair of runs.

Jimmy Cerha (Ohio University) earned the win on the mound. Parker Burgess (Florida SouthWestern College) collected the save.

Thunder Bay improves to 20-12 in the first half with eight wins in their last 10 games.

The Border Cats now welcome the Waterloo Bucks for a four-game series beginning on Sunday. Tyler Talbert (University of Texas-Arlington) is the expected starting pitcher. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. The Sandlot will air on the video board as a pre-game movie at 2:30 p.m.
