
The Thunder Bay Border Cats scored a walk-off, extra innings win over the Rochester Honkers.
Dylan Snead (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) hit an 11th inning sacrifice fly to score Duncan Key (University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma) and break a deadlock and give the Border Cats a 4-3 victory at Port Arthur Stadium on Saturday.
Jeremy Sheffield (Georgetown University) had a 3-for-4 night at the plate, with two doubles and a triple, while also scoring twice, to be the Cwench player of the game for the Border Cats. Cwench is the official hydration partner of the Border Cats.
Calvin Warrilow (Dodge City Community College) drove in three runs in the winning effort.
Braden Gluth (Creighton University) got the start on the mound and threw six scoreless innings while only allowing one hit and striking out six batters.
Carson Priebe (McLennan Community College) worked a scoreless top half of the 11th to pick up his first win of the season.
The Border Cats are now 2-3 in the second half, with a 23-16 overall mark.
Thunder Bay concludes their brief two-game homestand against the Honkers with a Sunday afternoon showdown. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. with John McDonald (Creighton University) scheduled to get the start for the Border Cats.
