
The Thunder Bay Border Cats wrapped up their four-game road trip with a victory, and now head home for their final homestand of the 2025 campaign.
A six-run fourth inning powered the Border Cats to a 9-8 win over the Waterloo Bucks at Riverfront Stadium on Sunday.
Ayden Hadley (Sacramento State University) and Devon Smith (Montreat College) each had 2 RBI games. Kaiden Ashton (University of Central Missouri), Junior Lopez (Ottawa University) and Dylan Snead (Ottawa University) each brought home a run.
Porter Jorgenson (Valley City State University) earned his first win on the mound. Tyler Talbert (University of Texas-Arlington) earned his second save of the campaign.
Thunder Bay’s overall record now stands at 35-29, and 14-16 in the second half. The Border Cats have won six of their last 10 games.
The Border Cats are in action on Monday to take on the La Crosse Loggers, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. and Ethan Minaker (Cal State University-Bakersfield) is set to get the start on the hill. It’s the second Season Ticket Redemption Night of the year. Any unused season tickets can be redeemed for a ticket for Monday’s game.
